Empowering Youth Lifestyle
The program juvenile justice, delinquency prevention, and child protection and safety consists of training and making youth and families aware of healthcare issues such as sexually transmitted diseases, drugs addiction and prevention of violence.
The program goal is working with the local community efforts that enhance skills and create a healthy, nurturing environment that develops responsible citizens. There are objectives to achieve the program goals.
- To form Prevention Youth Advisors (PYA) within communities to mobilize, endorse and sustain delinquency prevention efforts.
- To coordinate diverse resources that support a client-centered continuum of services for at-risk youth and families.
- To implement and monitor prevention strategies, and modify the plans as needed.
Empowering Youth Lifestyle program also provide healthcare awareness through workshop, health fairs, community events and schools; and oorganize events of interest to the community such as gang prevention, drug usage, teen abortion, importance of abstinence, alcohol use, etc.
