Immigrant Welcome Center-Natural Helpers

The program’s goal is for Natural Helpers – immigrants themselves who understand the challenges of moving to a different place, learning a new language, and establishing a home in the U.S. – to connect immigrant in their own communities with resources, local programs, information, services, and opportunities.

The Natural Helpers program is an excellent way to empower and engage newcomers and integrate them into their communities. Immigrants receive a culturally competent training that include leadership development, case management, cross-cultural communication, public speaking skills, advocacy, servant leadership and community navigation among other key topics.

The Natural Helpers program is a unique concept for integration of immigrants, originating within the community’s grassroots and based on global best practices, extensive community input, and a reciprocal approach embracing individual responsibilities and community responsiveness within interactions.
